In Conversation with Angelina McNally, Senior Program Director at Workspend
As Workspend continues to innovate in workforce management, we caught up with Angelina McNally to discuss her experiences and insights on managing projects, data, and statements of work. Here’s what she had to share:
Can you tell us about the recent challenges and how Workspend is adapting?
“Well, there have been significant changes, especially in the MSP landscape due to financial pressures and economic upheavals,” shares Angelina. “The key has been to stabilize what we manage by looking beyond the immediate tasks to the broader picture, effectively becoming proactive partners rather than passive observers in our clients’ workforce management.”
How does Workspend manage Statement of Work (SOW) engagements and what differentiates your approach?
“We start with what I call the backend, focusing initially on billing,” Angelina describes. “This gives clients visualization and ease of management, like having one single bill, which streamlines their processes. Our goal is about simplifying, providing better visibility, and more control without the added costs.”
What’s been the biggest learning from engaging clients at Workspend?
“Our success hinges on building and nurturing relationships,” Angelina emphasizes. “We strive to be at the table, involved in strategic decisions, rather than just service providers. This dynamic partnership approach, understanding their needs and aligning with their strategic goals, has been instrumental in building trust and facilitating smooth project execution.”
How do you ensure that the solutions provided are adaptable and effective?
“We teach our teams to see beyond the single account perspective,” Angelina explains. “By equipping them with the right tools and training, we empower them to think outside the box and offer innovative solutions that cater to individual client needs, thus creating value that resonates with diverse challenges.”
Summarising Workspend’s journey, what does the future hold?
“Moving ahead, Workspend’s commitment is towards making our analytics more robust and ensuring our data-driven decisions add real client value,” says Angelina. “Our approach is all about starting from something small and scaling it up effectively if it’s successful. It’s about being flexible, adaptable, and prepared to engage creatively for client success.”
What it means?
With a focus on innovation, client relationships, and strategic partnerships, Workspend is re-inventing MSP possibilities and expectations. Stay engaged for more insights into how we’re evolving to meet our clients’ dynamic needs.
