CMMI Level 3 Status

CMMI (Capabilities Maturity Model Integration) is an international standard developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) to monitor the maturity level of company processes and determine a company’s ability to develop high quality systems and service. A maturity model can be viewed as a set of structured levels that describe how well the behaviors, practices and processes of an organization can reliably and sustainably produce required outcomes. A CMMI Level 3 organization satisfies the requirements of multiple appraisal model areas using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPISM) approach. The SCAMPI method involves the review of documents and presentations, as well as interviews with company leaders and practitioners to determine whether requirements for CMMI Levels have been met.
